Courage to Refuse sent New Year's greeting cards to all 120 members of the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament). The message on the cards read:
The coming New Year must not be "eliminated".
Gather Courage, to Refuse.
Wishing you a happy New Year,
Combat soldiers of "Courage to Refuse"
The cards were sent following a series of meetings between members of the movement and a large number of Knesset members, and as a response to the extensive use of "targeted killings".
These extra- judicial death sentences, often called "eliminations" have taken a heavy toll on the lives of many civilians. The IDF confirms that about a third of the people killed in the course of such actions were, in fact, innocent bystanders.
