A Trailer was Removed from an Unauthorized Outpost by Peace Now with the Assistance of Courage to Refuse 14/09/2004

Peace Now activists, together with members of Courage to Refuse, removed a trailer from a brand new unauthorized outpost in the west bank, one km away from another unauthorized outpost, named Migron.

The trailer was removed by a crane truck, rented by Peace Now, and was driven to Tel Aviv, where it was relocated by the activists in front of the Ministry of Defense offices.

The operation clearly demonstrated that despite of PM's Sharon and the Minister of Defense Shaul Mofaz's claims, the dismantling of unauthorized outposts is a possible task, demanding nothing but a good will.

Dozens of peace activists gathered near the removed trailer in Tel Aviv for a spontaneous demonstration. Dror Etkes of Peace now  said:
"We wanted to demonstrate to the Israeli public that it is possible to dismantle outposts. If Peace Now can do it, the State of Israel can surely do it."

Etkes added that there are nearly 100 West Bank outposts, 51 of them established since Prime Minister Ariel Sharon came to power in March 2001.
